Milan Klemenčičwas born in 1875 in Solkan and died in 1957 in Ljubljana.

In his free time he painted. Already on 22 December 1910 he performed the first puppet show in the Little Puppet Theatre in Šturjeand therefore the village of Šturje became the birthplace of the first Slovene puppet theatre. In 1912, Klemenčič appealed the Slovene public to support the existing puppet theatre, with a wide selection of home and foreign plays, emphasizing that it is artistically improved, educationally oriented and adequate not only for the young, but also for the adult audience.
